Seats
Most 3 wheel double buggies start as single pushchairs. However, some models can be converted to accommodate the second seat using adapters. You'll also see that some models let you include a ride-onboard for older children who want to walk, but need some assistance.

Suspension
The quality of the suspension on a triple buggy is vital to how it will be easy for you and your child to push. It is crucial to have a smooth ride, because babies can feel every bump that comes along the road. This is especially the case if you're driving on rough terrain like grass or roads that aren't paved. Certain models come with locking front tires that help maneuver and get over obstacles like curbs.
Some models use air-filled tyres which will provide a fantastic all-terrain experience, but they can be prone to punctures, so make sure you have a spare set in the trunk. Some models have gel-filled or foam-filled tyres that are designed to cushion bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, however they might cause discomfort for your child should you decide to jog.

Folding
A three-wheel double buggy can fold up very easily to be stored. There are options that fold flat, stand up (as though they were in a pushchair) and also are able to open up to reveal more umbrella-like folding that has a hand-operated break. The more wheels a buggy is equipped with, in general the easier it will be to maneuver through rough terrain. This is especially true if your wheels are bigger than the typical size. You will have more stability and it is less likely that you be forced to flip or tip your child.
